Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. She was moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five when she enrolled in at the Dragon School. Since the age of 6 Emma knew that she was going to become an actress and for several years, she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned performing and singing. Before the age of ten she had performed and taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. In 1999 casting began to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents discovered Emma by way of her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The film set records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and became the top-grossing movie in the year 2001. Reviewers have been highly acclaimed of the film and the performances of its three major young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British paper, called Emma's performance "amazing". In the following days, Emma was nominated for five awards based on her performance in the film, winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in the Feature Film.
