MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads into Latin pop. The hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. In Medellin the year of Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his first long-player. It peaked at number eight on the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He was a part of the team together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which featured the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & younger brother are musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music was a necessity. As a child, was playing the ukulele and piano. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian convinced him to study singing with an instructor from a Cuban teacher. What happened was that he realized his ability to sing and also altered the direction of his life.
